The Peninsula Property Owners Association’s landscape contractor has reached out to us with the following efforts to help those impacted by the recent storm:

Dear Friends,

With the recent devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy, we wanted to let you to know we have partnered with Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte and Golden Gait Trailers to assist with the hurricane relief assistance desperately needed for the families of New Jersey. Golden Gait Trailers has generously donated the semi, tractor and trailer which will leave for New Jersey Friday November 9th. Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte at 950 N Polk Street is the official donation drop off location this week, Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8am and 7pm. We are combining our efforts and resources to reach out to as many of our friends, clients and vendors to help with this drive. Time is of the essence.

Help us fill up the semi truck on-site at Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte scheduled to drive to Freehold Mercedes-Benz of New Jersey this Friday, November 9th. We are asking for water, blankets, canned goods, toiletries, flashlights, coats, first aid kits, portable heaters, pet food, any and all non perishable items for the families of New Jersey. Please, help us help these families, children, abandoned pets, and the elderly NOW.

Donations accepted at Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte at 950N Polk Street, Pineville, North Carolina. If you are on the North of town and would like to drop the items at our office we are located at 11010 Metromont PKWY Charlotte NC 28269. This is off Harris Blvd and 77.  In addition, there will be an Ecoscape trailer parked in east end of The Peninsula Club parking lot at 19101 Peninsula Club Drive on Wednesday, November 7, from 8:00 a.m until 6:00 p.m.for Peninsula residents who wish to make a donation.  If the trailer is unattended, please leave your donation inside the trailer.

Thank you
