January 16-25, 2015

Charlotte Restaurant Week, also knows as “Queen’s Feast”, is opening up tomorrow with over 120 upscale restaurants in the Charlotte metro area featuring a $30 per person fixed menu price of a delicious three (or more) course dinner (not including tax and gratuity). So come out and enjoy the finest food in the Charlotte area! A reservation is not required but it is highly recommended mostly in the weekend.

Last year I went on a romantic date with my husband at Alton’s Kitchen & Cocktails restaurant located in Cornelius, right outside of the Peninsula subdivision. We had a great time and had the most amazing dinner.

Although long overdue, we wanted to send a quick note to share our wonderful home selling experience with Marzia Mazzotti (Premier Sotheby’s International Realty).

As you know, any decision to buy or sell a home is an emotional event and having a real estate agent that is not only competent, but also empathetic to these emotions is so helpful. Marzia absolutely shined in both areas.

We have always found it difficult to choose a realtor. In our case, the decision was easy because we have seen and known Marzia and her family for many years and had a chance to get to know her long before we ever were in the market for a realtor. Once we finally decided to put our home on the market, we were very satisfied with the entire process from listing to closing. Like many homeowners, we thought selling a house was as simple as putting a sign up in our yard and wait for people to make an offer. Nothing was further from the truth. Marzia walked us through all the steps from guiding us on an appropriate listing price to how to properly stage our home, and explaining all the resources she has at her disposal to market our home beyond the “sign in the yard”. What we were most impressed by was her ability to negotiate and to get the whole thing closed in a timely and stress-free manner.
